Black Turtle Beans are high in protein, fibre and are a great source of iron, potassium, selenium, molybdenum, thiamine, vitamin B6, and folic acid.

They are shiny and black in colour and have a light brown creamy flesh that has a sweet nutty flavour with similarities to mushroom. They cook between 1 - 1½ hours (much quicker in a pressure cooker).
